Reggae Gold Club Nights in Chicago

Chicago mainstay venue, Subterranean, hosts “Reggae Gold”, every Thursday. “Reggae Gold”, established in 2004, is billed as the #1 Reggae Dance Party in Chicago and runs from 10 PM to 2 AM. This immensely popular club night tends to get packed by 11:30 PM and ladies get in free.

Chicago Live Reggae Music

The months of May and June bring some phenomenal Chicago reggae concerts. 18 May sees the Beat Kitchen bar/restaurant play host to the “Illuminate Spring Tour”, headlined by 4-piece reggae rock outfit Tomorrows Bad Seeds, from Hermosa Beach, CA, signed to Island/Empire Records. They will be supported by NC trio Sun-Dried Vibes, Nashville’s Roots of a Rebellion, and San Diego’s Thicker Than Thieves. This promises to be a great night of live reggae-rock fusion.

The world-renowned Protoje and the Indiggnation have blown crowds away on tours and festivals across the world, from Jamaica to America and throughout Europe. Protoje brings his brand of socially-conscious, powerful reggae music to Subterranean on 25 May for what is sure to be a memorable night.

Critically-acclaimed Wisconsin veterans Natty Nation describe themselves as spiritual warriors and their live show style as “shamanistic”. This alone should give you a clue as to the soulful and powerful live music experience the Beat Kitchen is in for on 25 May. Homegrown support comes from The Concrete Roots, Fersher and Reggae Gold’s resident DJ Pappa G. This should be a memorable date in the Chicago reggae concert calendar.

Atlantic Records’ Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy’s latest album “Outside” debuted at number 3 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart in January 2018. Watch him bring his unique energy to the Bottom Lounge on 8 June.
